Barcoo Shire Council is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.

A total of 90 residents provided responses to the survey representing approximately 38% of the adult population of the Shire.  This provides Council with a strong level of confidence in the validity of the results of the community survey.

The survey was primarily conducted to determine Council’s performance from two years ago when we conducted the same survey.  We are pleased to report that we have shown some good improvement in some of our operational areas and as an organisation.

In saying that, we still have further to go in improving our performance in a number of areas.  We will certainly be using the results of the survey to inform our upcoming budget and our priorities over the next couple of years.  To allow us to determine our ongoing level of performance, we intend to run a similar process in about two years.

It will take us a little while to process and address the comments provided in the survey.  In the meantime, if there is anything at all that you believe needs addressing or sorted out, please contact Council on 4658 6900 or This email address is being protected from spambots.
